Halloween is just around the corner, and that means costume and decoration prep is in full swing. Stay tuned for some holiday tips and tricks…or treats!
Trick 1) Personalize your pumpkins. Instead of sculpting a classic jack-o’-lantern face, try writing a phrase or carving a favorite sports team logo.
Trick 2) Buy candy before October 31st. Sweets are the most important part of Halloween, but there’s often so much going on that sometimes you forget to buy them! Purchase a variety of options so that every trick-or-treater will be satisfied.
Trick 3) Decorate your house. In addition to putting pumpkins on the front steps, add a couple of other spooky effects. Some examples are plastic glowing eyes to put in your bushes, or artificial spider webs to wrap around your lamppost.
Trick 4) Find a multi-person costume. Dressing up with your friends or significant other is always fun, so get your group together and pick a theme!
Trick 5) Handmake your costume. While many costumes can be purchased, it’s a lot of fun to put together your own costume. This allows you to personalize the style and gives you and your friends a fun activity to do!
Trick 6) Stay safe. Be on the lookout for people acting suspiciously, whether you’re out trick-or-treating or at a Halloween party.
